Funny Film

I recently went to the Oxnard movie theater on Fifth Street and saw a very comical film.  The film I watch was Jackass Three in 3D. I would recommend watching this movie if you are ready to be disturbed and laugh allot. Johnny Knoxville is the main character just like all the other Jackass films yet he is still funny; his age is starting to show. Bam Margera is also in this film as well as Wee-Man and they are a very funny pair. I had a couple scenes in the movie that I believe were my favorite but there is one that was the funniest. The guys from the movie have a large mechanical hand with a diameter of about four feet. The large hand is set up right next to a doorway against a wall. The hand is spring-loaded and would swing toward the open door way on their command at a very high speed with lots of force. Wee-Man put some sort of white powdered substance on the hand and caulked it back. Second later Bam is headed toward the doorway and Wee-Man is ready for him. As Wee-Man yells “High Five” the hand is unloaded and knocks Bam on his back as well as getting a white powder shower. While Bam is on his back everyone including the producer come out from hiding as they are laughing almost to tears. Bam himself though this stunt was very funny and joined the crowd by laughing himself.
Yet the movie was very comical and I did like it, I do not believe it was as funny as the first Jackass.  Although the 3D effects are very graphic and disturbing, the first and second Jackasses were jus as disturbing. I would like to see the first Jackass in 3D I believe they make the perfect match together.

yummy fast food

I just would like to start off by say the book Fast Food Nation totally opened my eyes to a different aspect of the fast food industry that I would have never thought about before. Prior to reading this book I had not eaten a hamburger in over a year.  My girlfriend took Croker a year ago and read this same book so she had given me an idea about the beef industry. I must say hearing what my girlfriend and told me ad reading this book were two totally different sides of the story. When I was reading Fast Food Nation I was amassed of how detailed the author got in to the facts. In reading this book you can imagine what the workers in the beef factories are going through or how corporations prey on the weak.  Schlosser did a lot of research and actually went to the slaughterhouses and I believe that is why this book was so amazing.
Although I had not eaten a hamburger in a while, I was still eating other meat products and I don’t believe that is going to continue. One situation in this book that really stood out to me was when one of the workers said he would shovel dead rats and feces in with the meat. That is horrible how would you want to eat that shit!

school!

My truth from last weeks blog; was that I love school. In previous years I would not have been able to say this truthfully, yet in recent months I have realized how important schooling is. I have taken time off of work so I can focus on my schoolwork so if I do not get good grades I have know one to blame but myself.  This current semester is going pretty good I am doing very well in my math class and I believe I am doing okay in my English class. J This semester I really have my head in the game, by that I mean I am really trying hard on all my assignments.  I have to admit I did recently drop my history class due to bombing my midterm and another quiz I am still very disappointed in my self, because I know I could of tried a little harder. I dropped that class because I did not want a bad grade on my transcript.  I love my math class; even though I cannot understand the teacher due to a very strong accent, math is my favorite subject. I think I like math so much because I love money and numbers and I like to work with both together. I am enjoying my English class as well although there is a heavy workload I knew that when I signed up for the course. My English teacher is awesome, I took her for the previous class, which was English 96 she is very entertaining and explains assignments in depth.
I am putting my self through this tremendous workload because I know school will help me in my future. I am planning to get my general education out of the way then join the police academy. My goal is to get hired on with a police department hopefully in Ventura County, then work my way in to the SWAT! When I am up late at night working on homework or studying for a test I jus think of the day when I get hired on by a department. When I think of accomplishing my goals in life I know school is the main foundation, and the rest will fall in to place.
